Wearing Your Jewellery- Lockdown Style Notes.

While reading the latest issue of British Vogue I came across a page that made my heart sing. Many people ask me how best to wear their jewellery so I wanted to show you how I myself wear my own work. The hoodies and skirts edit by Olivia Singer inspired me to finally put pen to paper, to show you how versatile my jewellery is and why I like to wear it every day to elevate my wardrobe.

I love Olivia's idea of simply pairing your well-worn hoodies with a fabulous skirt 'to become a picture of cool', being comfortable and fabulous it is all I aspire to be. I am sure many of us can relate to the fact that a bit of lipstick can make a day go from dreary to delightful as that little splash of colour raises our spirits. In a time where comfort is key, and reasons to party or even leave the house are minimal why shouldn't we all go for it and make a day or two in the week sparkle that little bit brighter by throwing on a party skirt, hoody and a bit of gold.

Layering is vital in the chilly Scottish climate and if you have ever met me in the studio, you will know that I am always shrouded in wool. In the summer, I might downgrade the thickness of said wool, but a scarf, a fabulous jumper, or a leopard print cardigan is more often than not on my person. For lower layers I love T-shirts and detailed blouses and both can be lifted by a long necklace with a little colour from a tourmaline or the dazzling sparkle of a diamond. My jewellery is vintage-inspired, and each piece is made for every day wear, not just for special occasions. Rings to stack, earrings to mix and match and necklaces to layer, everything has the opportunity to work within and elevate your wardrobe. Small changes to the way you wear your clothes can give them a new look entirely, so embrace the hoodies & skirts, the dresses & boots, the blouses & jeans all topped with a dazzling necklace to make your lockdown days fancier, I bet it will make you smile.
